FINANCE AND CORPORATE PLANNING DEPARTMENT

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is seeking to recruit an exceptional and dynamic individual from its Members Countries to fill the position of Deputy Director to work in the Finance Division of the Finance and Corporate Planning Department at its Headquarters in Barbados.


CDB is a multilateral Development Bank that collaborates with its Borrowing Member Countries to promote sustainable social and economic development, economic cooperation and regional integration.

The Role

• The position of Deputy Director, Finance heads the Finance Division and is responsible, inter alia, for: assisting the Director, Finance and Corporate Planning in managing the Finance Division; establishing and maintaining the Bank’s financial record-keeping systems consistent with international Financial Reporting Standards; ensuring adherence to the Bank’s Charter and compliance with the Bank’s financial policies to properly reflect the financial position of the Bank; ensuring that Departmental activities run smoothly, effectively and efficiently; providing leadership, training and supervision within the Finance Division; providing a high level of customer relations and service; and ensuring compliance with Bank policies and procedures.

The Candidate

• Eligible candidates will have a professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CPA or CGA. A MBA degree would be an asset.

• Candidates should be seasoned professionals with at least twelve (12) years’ experience in the management of financial management and budgeting systems, preferably in an international organization.

• The successful candidate must be willing to live and work in Barbados.
