VACANCY – ADVISOR PROGRAMMES
AA Afghanistan invites applications for the post of Advisor Programmes to assume responsibility of its programme activity within the context of the organisation's mission.
Key responsibility of the position
* Ensure synergy /inter-linkage of the programmes with the core themes within the context of the rights based approach.
* Develop an implementation plan and ensure effective coordination.
* Develop /implement an in built-monitoring and evaluation framework as per the organization’s guidelines (ALPS).
* Document organisational learning and experiences.
* Help in developing funding proposals and in maintaining donor obligations and partnership development initiatives.
* Develop and implement the partnership approach, monitor all partnership obligations as per organisational policy.
* Support capacity building of the national staff on program planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
* Prepare plan and budgets and other internal statutory requirements.
We seek a person with minimum 8 years of experience in programme planning and implementation. A post-graduate degree in Social Sciences or related fields is essential. The candidate should have experience working with communities, a proven track record of programme management, dealing with donor accountability, managing diverse teams, coordinating partner organizations along with appropriate finance and report writing ability and excellent English communication skills. She/He should bring excellent interpersonal skills be aligned to ActionAid values, be respectful of women, with ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations in context that is sensitive, difficult and multicultural.
The position is based in Kabul with national and international travel as required and offered under ActionAid International terms for two year tenure with possible extension. This is a non accompanied post with rest and recuperation leave (R & R) once every 3months.
