Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a dynamic international, non-governmental organization which works to reduce violence and protect civilians in situations of violent conflict and its aftermath, mostly through the deployment on the ground of multinational teams of civilians.

NP is launching a regional programme in the South Caucasus, aimed at increasing the capacity and safe options for civil society in addressing human security related issues, as well as contributing to incident prevention mechanisms for conflict-affected communities through accessible grassroots ground presence.
The position of Civilian Protection Officer requires previous work experience in conflict areas, preferably in civilian protection. Training is provided prior to deployment in areas key to NP’s mission. Those selected are expected to be able to work in Russian and to commit to two years.
