You will lead the process of building the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) to operate as an efficient, effective and viable organisation. The objective of the new organisation is to ease access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises.


The AGF will do so by providing partial loan portfolio guarantees and other guarantee products as well as capacity development support to African financial institutions that wish to improve their services to small and medium-sized enterprises.

You are focused on delivering results. You are visionary, dynamic and inspiring – capable of seeing and seizing opportunities, motivating staff to perform, creating confidence and building relationships with clients and partners. Your strong diplomatic skills enable you to negotiate successfully in both private and political sectors.


You have extensive experience and proven ability in executive functions; a strong technical understanding of guarantee products, including their business and development potential in an African context; and political and cultural sensitivity and experience in working constructively with a wide range of African and international organisations. A full command of English is a necessity.
