Chief Operations Officer, (WI)
Wetlands
International is seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO). The focus of
the COO is on enhancing organizational effectiveness (including
financial, legal, administrative, ICT and personnel aspects) and is
responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and improvement
of the capacities and systems that enable the office network to operate
effectively and to achieve sustainable organizational growth
(Application Deadline: 5 September 2011).
Key Responsibilities
Acts
as the second member of the Management Board, chaired by the CEO, to
advise and act on plans and strategic measures concerning all financial,
administrative, ICT, legal, staff development and personnel matters
necessary to reach professional standards of operation across the
organisation.
Is responsible for the development of the budget and
the annual financial statements and the quarterly financial reports to
the Supervisory Council and Board of Association.
Acts as
operational head of the headquarters and oversees financial,
administrative, systems, human resources and legal affairs and their
staff.
Secures firm management control of projects.
Develops
and promotes the implementation of common operational policies and
standards throughout the Wetlands International network of offices.
Qualifications
MBA or equivalent financial accounting qualification.
Experience and up-to-date knowledge of personnel management policies and practices.
Working knowledge of Management Information Systems and other key office administration systems and procedures.
Other language ability; especially Dutch, French or Spanish.
An affinity with the purpose and approach of Wetlands International.
