MANAGER, ACCOUNTING
FINANCE AND CORPORATE PLANNING DEPARTMENT

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is seeking to recruit an exceptional and dynamic individual from its member countries to fill the position of Manager, Accounting to work in the Finance Division of its Finance and Corporate Planning Department.

CDB is a multi-lateral development bank that collaborates with its Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs) to promote sustainable social and economic development, economic cooperation and regional integration.


The Role
The position of Manager, Accounting will report to the Deputy Director, Finance and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Bank’s accounting systems and for overseeing its accounting operations in conformity with international financial reporting standards. Providing leadership, training and supervision of staff, ensuring a high level of customer service and that work is performed efficiently and in compliance with the Bank’s charter, its policies and procedures are important elements of the job. The Manager, Accounting will also be required to work collaboratively with the Deputy Director, Finance in planning, coordinating, directing, controlling and evaluating the work of the Division.


The Candidate
• Eligible candidates should have a professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CPA or CGA. A Master’s degree in business would be an asset.
• Candidates should have a minimum of seven years’ post qualification experience which should include experience in leading a team.
• The successful candidate must be willing to live and work in Barbados.
