DAI, a global development consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, USA seeks to fill multiple positions to support an anticipated five-year U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Climate Change Adaptation project on the Mekong River Basin, covering communities in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The project aims to strengthen human and institutional capacity to develop and implement climate change adaptation plans and strategies; strengthen policies, tools, methodologies, and practices for ecosystem services valuation and climate resiliency; demonstrate and scale-up model actions for integrated approaches to climate change adaptation, and sustain regional learning networks to share and replicate best practices.


All the positions listed below are for submission in an upcoming proposal and are contingent upon successful award of funding. The positions will be based in the four Mekong River Basin countries of Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

• Climate Change Impact and Adaptation Study Task Manager
Qualifications Required: Significant management experience in leading major scientific studies; previous experience in climate change impact studies, preferably in application of climate change forecast information with agriculture suitability or ecosystem envelope models; proven experience in the agriculture cropping systems in Southeast Asia; advanced degree in technical area related to agriculture, environment, climate change, natural resources management, or related field required

• Pilot Projects Task Manager
Qualifications Required: Significant management experience in implementing pilot projects and a demonstrated ability to work in a developing country; relevant field experience in rural and community based projects, preferably with experience in community or ecosystem based adaptation projects; proven experience in the agriculture cropping systems in Southeast Asia; advanced degree in relevant area

Other positions will require areas of expertise in the following:

• Agricultural Development, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry

Candidates with credentials in the above areas, as well as candidates with strong experience in supporting USAID programs are encouraged to apply. Strong English language skills highly preferred.
