Job Title: GM of Enterprise Sales, North America
Reports to: OpenX Chief Revenue Officer
Location: Pasadena, CA
Mission: To establish OpenX Enterprise ad serving technology as the most widely adopted publisher ad technology solution among Comscore top 500 publishers
We are an innovative and fast growing online advertising technology company based in Pasadena California. We have an existing customer base of over 200,000 website using our open source ad technology, serving over 350B ad impressions per month. We are looking for a GM of Enterprise Sales of North America to help launch our new Enterprise ad serving platform for large publishers, with a goal of quickly establishing OpenX Enterprise as the most widely adopted publisher ad technology solution among the Comscore top 500 publishers.
The Job Responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:
Drive sales of OpenX Enterprise ad technology to Comscore top 500 publishers.
- Drive customer engagement around key product requirements
- Evangelize OpenX 3.0 to publisher community in advance of 3.0 launch date
- Drive quick adoption of OpenX 3.0 Enterprise and technology services by major clients
- Keen awareness of competitive markets and environments
Leadership
- Manage a small team and work with Multi State Sales teams to target existing and some new customers and to develop strong relationships with clients.
- Build a very strong, high quality enterprise sales team in North America
- Contribute extensively to overall OpenX business and product strategy and execution
- Build a strong OpenX brand within the US publisher community through operational excellence and strategic media communications
- Support senior sales executives in developing sales presentations
- Articulate vision and business priorities to staff so that they may effectively contribute to overall business and financial success
- Work closely with the executive team to support competitive positioning and strategy
Business Planning.
- Own business planning process for US Enterprise business unit
- Financial performance: Deliver strong top-line and bottom-line performance fast. Grow the team and cost-base in a prudent, revenue-led fashion
Strategy & Strategic partnerships:
- Rapidly develop and execute a clear, competitively differentiated strategy for growing OpenX’s business in North America
- Build a wide array of creative partnerships with other players that can help OpenX, including resellers and marketing partners
Operations:
- Ensure an excellent experience for all customers and partners
Required Job Qualifications
This individual must have a proven track record of leadership and team management and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven track record in the enterprise ad serving technology space. Familiarity with ad serving across multiple formats is a requirement (e.g. display, mobile, video, IP TV)
- Strong personal brand in the US publisher community, with strong relationships across the industry and with major publishers.
- Very comfortable with a start-up mode of operating
- Track record of success building and leading great teams
- Track record of meeting and/or over delivering sales objectives
Strong sales and service experience: able to personally sell the largest clients and ensure customer experience is excellent
Intense focus on operational details
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including presentations
- Demonstrated ability to be organized, ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Charismatic individual with high energy and very strong internal and external communication skills.
- Ping pong skills a bonus.
