Competitive: 360 Resourcing Solutions:We have an exciting opportunity for two Systems Engineers to join our team based in Eastbourne. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary.
Eastbourne College is a co-educational independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 13–18, situated on the south coast of England, included in the Tatler list of top public schools.
Eastbourne College (Inc) require System Engineers for the provision of IT support; monitoring and maintenance of systems and servers; resolution of hardware and software issues; and IT installation. The post-holders must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and network infrastructure. A willingness to keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies including relevant certification is also essential.
The Systems Engineer role will involve working set shifts to cover the hours 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, plus a 1 in 3 Saturday morning and a 1 week in 4 out-of-hours on call duty.
The Role – Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st / 2nd line support for all escalated issues within established SLAs.
- Proactive monitoring & maintenance of key systems / servers.
- Liaising with 3rd parties to solve hardware / software issues
- Progression of key projects.
- Update and maintain in-house knowledge base of desktop / server-related issues / fixes.
- Keep a log of all CPD.
- Enhance skills / knowledge of other support members through mentoring / training.
- Responsible for Backups, Internet Filtration.
- You will work as part of a team of engineers who will restore normal service operation with minimum disruption to customers
- You will ensure the daily checks on client servers and networks are carried out and ensure all issues are reported and resolved effectively
