The winning candidate will work with the Director of Marketing and SVP of BuyerBase to develop and maintain a strategic product development roadmap. Strong project, people and systems management skills are required to translate high-level requirements into market-driven new products, features and functionality. Additionally, this role will work with the trading desk to discover, define and document requirements to enhance internal trading execution processes and reporting systems. You will find opportunities to customize and package trading desk features into new market-facing solutions that can drive incremental revenue.
The primary role of the Product Manager is to drive additional revenue by optimizing and extending the current, highly successful, Ziff Davis BuyerBase solution. You will expand our addressable market by identifying real buyer needs, and managing the development of new solutions to meet those needs. The ideal candidate must have a true passion for staying tuned in to what buyers need, and must engage in frequent dialog with existing and prospective buyers to maintain and refine that understanding.
Responsibilities Include:
Bridge market needs with the definition of software product requirements that meet core business objectives
Shepherd the complete development process including managing, prioritizing and maintaining a product backlog
Work with development team during the product design and development phases to ensure requirements are being met and key design input is being incorporated
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to embrace and work towards a common vision
Develop documentation and training materials for support of release, marketing and sales efforts
Work closely with Director of Marketing to deliver collateral and promotional elements to meet objectives for lead generation/awareness and client deployment
Work closely with Director of Marketing to identify and create tools for internal training and sales support
Proactively identify process improvements and work to achieve consensus and drive implementation
Define positioning/messaging to be used by Marketing/PR for outbound communications
Participate with Sales in key customer development processes
Monitor and inform on industry technology development, competitor product development and key customer product needs
Recommend build/buy/partner or market entry strategies
Help define holistic product marketing strategies for new products and major new feature launches
Help to train and support the sales organization to successfully sell the product.
Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills & Experience:
3-5 years experience in product management
Proactive player who doesn't wait for work assignments
Proven track record of product management successes
Agency or ad tech provider background
Strategic thinker with strong executional capability and superior ability to prioritize high-impact items
Effective written communication and presentation (PPT) skills
Able to draft strategic creative briefs for sales tools such as case studies
Able to distill complex campaign performance and segmentation metrics into marketing gems
Experience packaging content and digital advertising in new and engaging ways
Experience gathering market requirements and translating into successful solutions
Comfortable presenting to others with a confident presence and real substance
Project management capability, preferably Agile
Fluent with ad tech ecosystem - DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, Exchanges, Tag Management, etc.
