Energy Sector and Kyoto Protocol Expert
Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH (www.publicconsulting.at) is a leading Austrian consultancy and programme management firm specialised in the environmental and energy sector.
We have been shortlisted with a strong consortium in an EU-financed project in Serbia, under which – amongst other tasks - a mid-term Kyoto Implementation plan for the Energy Sector shall be drafted. Thus we are looking for an Energy Sector and Kyoto Protocol Expert with the following expertise:
- University Degree in environmental or technical sciences;
- Minimum of 10-15 years professional experience in the energy sector and in implementation of the Kyoto Protocol;
- Very good knowledge of the legal requirements of the Kyoto Protocol;
- Proven experience in preparing Kyoto Protocol mid-term implementation plans for the energy sector;
- Proven experience in the modalities of Joint Implementation (JI), Clean; Development Mechanism (CDM) and Emission Trading Schemes (ETS);
- Good overview of EU policies for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy;
- Very good knowledge in sustainability issues in the energy sector and experience in organising workshops and seminars;
- Experience in donor-financed consulting projects (ideally in a Team Leader role).
The main tasks which need to be performed are the preparation of a mid-term implementation plan for the energy sector in Serbia and the planning and implementation of various awareness raising campaigns for the sustainable development of the energy sector in Serbia.
The position is for app. 200 working days starting in February 2011 for one year. The project will be based in Belgrade, Serbia. Presence in Serbia is necessary for at least 50% of the time.
