Position Summary
The Director – Primary Care is the head of TCF’s Mission for Primary Health program, responsible for the implementation of existing and planned primary care projects aimed at improving maternal and infant health, preventing malnutrition in children under five, and promoting appropriate sanitation and hygiene, among other health interventions.
The Director is expected to lead program design and delivery, manage project staff, provide technical guidance for budgets and workplans, and ensure robust monitoring and evaluation of program activities and outcomes. In addition, the Director is also expected to support the corporate office in fundraising, government management and liaising with other aid agencies.
Qualifications
• Medical Degree required with Masters degree in Public Health or equivalent preferred
• At least ten years of experience working with large public health programs; experience in maternal and child health preferred
• Prior experience in a health sector management position at national, state, or district level in developing countries
• Demonstrated ability in using monitoring and evaluation tools to improve program performance
• Team player with demonstrated ability to produce quality results
