JOB DESCRIPTION
Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) is a leading indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes better healthcare for all Nigerians through the creation of strong and sustainable health systems. CIHP is consistent with global orientation towards the transfer of program management and implementation responsibilities of donor-supported programs to indigenous organizations.
This is aimed at increasing local ownership, funding effectiveness and strengthening of local talent for the adequate provision of quality technical assistance for healthcare and development in Nigeria as part of the US President's Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR II )'s central sustainability theme. The broadened scope of objectives has created the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus.

We are recruiting for the positions of:

1.) Pharmacy Associate

Location: Abuja
  • Incumbent will plan and support the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care services and the implementation of an efficient health commodity logistics system in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
  • Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program
  • Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria's stipulated guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization
  • Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant science or management field
  • At least 2 years experience working as a hospital based pharmacist
  • Must have an above average knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication.
  • Must have previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.
  • Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria

2.) Laboratory Logistics Associate

Location: Abuja
  • Incumbent provides procurement and logistics support to the laboratory unit as well as technical support to health facility-based sites
  • Enhance service delivery as regards laboratory logistics at sites through program innovations
  • Contribute to development of laboratory logistics plan
  • Implement a logistics system plan for efficient quantification and supply of test kits, reagents and other consumables required for laboratory services In collaboration with other logistics and supply chain teams
  • Implement and monitor efficient documentation of laboratory documents and records at sites
  • Prepare progress reports of laboratory activities, laboratory program implementation and laboratory quality issues.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant science or management field
  • At least 2 years experience in managing laboratory procurements or similar position.
  • Experience in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access preferred
  • Knowledge of data management systems and advantage.

3.) Senior Pharmacy/Logistics Associate

Location: Kaduna
  • Incumbent will be responsible for planning and the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care services and the implementation of an efficient health commodity logistics system for the organization in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
  • Managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program at the state. Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria's stipulated guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization
  • Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.
  • Conduct periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing arid counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant science or management field
  • Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
  • At least 3 years experience working as a hospital based pharmacist
  • Must have knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication
  • Must have previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting
  • Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.

4.) Pharmacy/Logistics Associate x3

Location: Benue, Kogi, Kaduna
  • Incumbent will plan and support the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care services and the implementation of an efficient health commodity logistics system for the organization in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
  • Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the H IV care and treatment program
  • Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria's stipulated guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization
  • Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases.
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.

  • At least 2 years experience working as a hospital based pharmacist

General Requirements
  • All positions require candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, computer applications and Internet/Emails
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Significant amount of travel may be involved for all positions.
  • Commitment to and understanding of organizations vision, values and principles including rights-based/gender approaches would be expected.
