Vacancies: Principal Librarian, Senior Librarian, Librarian I
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant positions in the Lagos State University Library.

Position: Principal Librarian (CONUASS 5)
A good first degree in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, the Social Sciences or Law and Postgraduate qualifications such as MLS or MIS with at least ten [10] years

Cognate Experience:
Candidates must produce evidence of research and publications. Knowledge of computer applications to Library system is required. Possession of a Ph. D in Library and Information Science will be an advantage.

Position: Senior Librarian (CONUASS 4)
Qualifications
  • A good first degree in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, the Social Sciences or Law and Postgraduate qualifications such as MLS or MIS with at least six [6] years in a University or Tertiary Institution of any other Library of equivalent standing. Candidates must produce evidence of research and Publications.
  • Knowledge of computer application to Library system is required.
  • Possession of a Ph.D in Library and Information Science will be an advantage.
Position: Librarian I (CONUASS 3)
Qualifications
  • A good first degree in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, the Social Sciences or Law and Postgraduate qualifications such as MLS or MIS with at least three [3] years in a University or Tertiary Institution of comparative standing.
  • Candidates must produce evidence of research and publications.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology is required. Possession of a Ph.D in Library and Information Science will be an advantage.
Conditions of Service
As contained in the approved Conditions of Service guiding senior staff of the University.
