Job mission
To Monitor and evaluate all school connectivity activities as well as the provision of coordinative administrative support to the department from an education point of view
KPA duties
•Develop and maintain a database and profiles on schools in connectivity programme
•Assist Senior Manager with Procurement processes and specifications
•Co-ordinate meetings with key stakeholders
•Record schedules of all service providers
•Liaise with Provincial Departments of education
•Monitor entire connectivity process
•Co-ordinate School Launches
•Monitor and track the training of educators and learners on the use of media centres
•Co-ordinate all troubleshooting challenges from school
•Conduct site visits
•Monitor and manage Internet subsidy by MTN
•Carry out regular communication with schools to ascertain the extent of utilization of on-line communication.
•Development and Implementation of systems that track the impact of media centres on teaching and learning
Educational requirements
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in the related field.
Experience required
At least 3 years of experience in the following:
•Administration
•Liaison with different service providers, project managers and business partners;
•Dissemination and distribution of information
•Public liaison and managing general queries
Skills required
Skills / physical competencies:
•Computer literacy
•Project co-ordination
•Organizational skills,
•Good communication skills
•Code 08 Drivers License
•MTN SA Foundation and procedures and policies
•Working knowledge of roles and responsibilities within the department
•Working knowledge of the CSI environment
