Association for International Solidarity in Asia (A.S.I.A Onlus)
A.S.I.A.-Onlus, the Association for International Solidarity in Asia, is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in December. The main goal of ASIA is to promote a sustainable economic, social and cultural development in Asia, with particular regard to the Himalayan area. ASIA works in China (Tibetan areas), Nepal, Sri Lanka and Northern India.

Purpose and Scope of the Job
The aim of this project is to improve the quality of the health assistance provided by the public service to the Tibetan population of Panam County. The purpose will be reached through the strengthening of the capacities and skills of the local health staff at village, district and county level. . The action will involve 270 health workers and 18 health officers of Panam County health services and bureaus, in trainings courses in Surgery, General Medicine, Health Service Management, Nutrition, MCH, Hygiene, Health Service Management. The project is funded by the European Union and has a duration of 3 years.
ASIA is currently seeking to appoint a Expert in Health Management with relevant experience of training, who will be in charge of the organization of the training courses in Health Service Management to the 70 district and hospital doctors .
General topics of trainings are: Strategic Aspects of Health Management; Human resources management; Women in management; Work structuring and job design, Communication in organisation; Time and space management; Controlling the system and health workers performance; Quality standard and Management; Role of Health Information System; Performance appraisal; Job evaluation; Budgets and forecasts; Hospital general management; Health centres management and referral procedures; Clients patients management; Continuing education.
He/she will be based in Panam, and will respond to Project Coordinator of the Project.
Requirements:
- University degree in Medicine, specialization in Public Health or Health Management Systems
- Experience of organization and management of health trainings
- Good command of English language and computer
- Good personal health conditions and capacity to work at high altitudes (3000/4000mt)
- Long term work experience in International Cooperation.
Duties:
- Elaboration of the Training Programme
- Planning, organization and realization of the training of health personnel
- Design and editing of didactic material for the training
- Support to the Project Coordinator in the identification of the equipment to be purchased
- Survey on the management activity in the local hospitals
- Reporting to the Project Coordinator and HQ
