Director of Development

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a private US foundation fostering civil society in the countries of the former Soviet Union, seeks a Director of Development. The Development Director is responsible for building financial support for the foundation’s programs by raising funds from USG sources, other governments, international foundations, corporations and individuals.

Ideal candidate is a highly-motivated team player with US Government proposal writing experience and demonstrated ability to meet revenue goals from private sector sources. Reporting to the President, the Director of Development, in coordination with the Program department, designs and writes proposals to meet donor interest and requirements.

Requirements: Educational attainment should be to the level of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the areas of international relations, marketing, communications, or public administration; Master’s preferred. Minimum seven years of progressively responsible roles in designing programs that resulted in funding required. Strong strategic planning, organizational, written, and oral communication skills are required. Combination of years of experience plus degree is acceptable. Knowledge of the Eurasia region, Central Europe or Afghanistan, and Russian language highly desirable. International travel required.
