Scholarship Description:
Teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in American literature and civilization at the University of Cocody-Abidjan and the University of Bouake; the two schools currently share the same campus in Abidjan.
Assist with student advising, provide tutorials and supervise master’s and doctoral-level theses.
Participate in seminars related to American literature and civilization.
Conduct research in area of specialization
Scholars with a Ph.D. and three or more years of postdoctoral university or college teaching experience are preferred. Correspond with the host institution to determine whether specializations are of interest. Submitting a letter of invitation from the host institution with the application is recommended, but not required. The academic year is generally October to July.
An English language school, the International Community School of Abidjan, is available for children in grades K-12 who accompany the scholar.
