B. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
SECURITY UNIT:
1. Chief Security Officer – CONTISS 14 (N1,820,908.00 – N2,381,772.00)
(i) Candidates must possess first degree from a recognized University plus Professional Certificate in Security Training from a reputable institution. Area of specialization is required. Such candidates should have at least 14 years post-qualification relevant experience in a University or other institutions of higher learning or related recognized organizations. At least 3 – 5 years of post qualification experience should be in a top Management position
(ii) Possession of Master’s degree is also an added advantage.
(iii) Applicants should have completed the National Youth Service Corps or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
(iv) Experience in relevant arm of law Enforcement or any of the Armed Forces at a Management/Senior level will be an added advantage, such experience should be supported with a career profile.
(v) Applicants should have the experience and drive to motivate other security personnel as well as provide excellent security coverage for the whole University community within approved schemes and calendars. The vision for the provision and development of security in the University should be enclosed in the application.
2. Principal Security Officer – CONTISS 11 (N973,305.00 – N1,375,535.00)
(i) Candidates must possess first degree from a recognized University plus Professional Certificate in SecurityTraining from a reputable institution. Such applicants should have at least 10 years post-qualification relevant experience in a University or other institutions of higher learning or related recognized organizations or institutions.
(ii) At least 2 years of post qualification experience must be at supervisory level
(iii) Candidates should have completed the National Youth Service Corps or have an evidence of exemption from the programme. Working experience with any of the Armed Forces would be an advantage.
3. Senior Security Officer – CONTISS 9 (N777, 984.00 – N1,131,610.00)
(i) Candidates must possess first degree from a cognized University plus professional certificate in SecurityTraining from a reputable institution. Such candidates should have at least 6 years post qualification relevant experience in a University or other reputable recognized institutions of higher learning or related recognized Organizations.
(ii) Candidates should have completed the National Youth Service Corps or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
4. Security Officer I – CONTISS 8 (N671,747.00 – N998,031.00)
(i) Candidates must possess first degree from a recognized University plus Professional Certificate in SecurityTraining from a reputable institution. Such candidates should have at least 4 years post qualification relevant experience in a University or other reputable recognized institutions of higher learning or related recognized Organizations.
(ii) Candidates should have completed the National Youth Service Corps or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
5. Security Officer II – CONTISS 7 (N579,391.00 – N857,305.00)
(i) Candidates must possess first degree from a recognized University plus Professional Certificate in SecurityTraining from a reputable institution. Such candidates should have at least 2 years post qualification relevant experience in a University or other reputable recognized institutions of higher learning or related recognized Organizations.
(ii) Opportunity will be given to fresh graduates willing to take security profession as a career
(iii) Candidates should have completed the National Youth Service Corps or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL:
6. Principal – CONTISS 14 (N1,820,908.00 – N2,381,772.00): The successful Applicant shall serve a 6-year tenure.
(i) Applicants must possess a minimum of first degree in Education from a recognized University with at least 20 years teaching experience with relevant post-qualification experience, on the job, plus a Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
(ii) Applicants should have completed NYSC programme or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
(iii) In addition, applicants should possess proven leadership and managerial ability and considerable experience in a secondary school of similar status. The vision for the job should be enclosed in the application, as well as a career profile.
(iv) Applicants who have held previous position of Principal will have an advantage.
(v) Applicants must be computer literate.
7. Vice-Principal – CONTISS 13 (N1, 820,908.00 – N2, 381,772.00): The successful Applicant shall be appointed for a tenure. There are two vacancies.
(i) Applicants must possess a minimum of first degree in Education from a recognized University with at least 17 years teaching experience with relevant post-qualification experience, on the job, plus a Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
(ii) Applicants should have completed NYSC programme or have an evidence of exemption from the programme.
(iii) In addition, applicants should possess proven leadership and managerial ability and considerable experience in a secondary school of similar status. The vision for the job should be enclosed in the application, as well as a career profile.
(iv) Applicants who have held previous positions of Vice-Principal will have an advantage

CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL LIAISON & PLACEMENT UNIT (CILPU):
8. Director CILPU – CONTISS 15 (N2,232,199.00 – N2,875,791.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a good honours degree in Engineering, OR Technology OR Science-base discipline from a recognized institution with at least 20 years post qualification experience, 5 years of which must be in management positions. Relevant post qualification administrative experience in Industrial Training of Students in a University, OR in a comparable institution, is essential.
(ii) The right applicant must be a member of relevant and recognized professional bodies.
(iii) A doctorate or Master’s degree as well as experience in the supervision of SIWES will be an added advantage.
(iv) Applicants must have completed NYSC or have evidence of exemption from the programme.
(v) The right applicant should possess the necessary drive and managerial ability to motivate staff towards achieving the objectives for which CILPU was set-up. The vision of the applicant for the post should be enclosed in the application, as well as a career profile.
9. Chief Coordinator – CONTISS 13 (N1,075,353.00 – N1,508,373.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a good honours degree in Engineering, OR Technology OR Science-based discipline from a recognized institution with at least 10 years relevant post qualification administrative experience in Industrial Training of Students in a University, OR in a comparable institution.

WORKS & PHYSICAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT:
11. Deputy Director of Works (Physical Planning & Construction) – CONTISS 14 (N1,820,908.00-N2,381,077.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a first degree in Civil Engineering OR Architecture OR Building Technology OR Quantity Surveying from a recognized University with at least 14 years relevant post qualification experience on the job, preferably with at least 7 years practical experience in a University or comparable tertiary institution.
(ii) Such applicants must be computer literate and must demonstrate proficiency in the deployment of information technology in project and cost planning, control, management and administration. Applicants must also be well versed in the Procurement Act 2007 and University Contract Management Tenders Procedures.
(iii) Applicants must have completed the National Youth Service Corps service or have evidence of exemption.
(iv) In addition, the applicants must be corporate members of the relevant professional bodies like the NSE, NIA, NIOB or NIQS and must be duly registered by the relevant professional regulating bodies like COREN, QSRBN, ARCON or CORBON.
(v) Possession of M.Sc. or higher degrees in relevant field of studies will be an added advantage.
(vi) The right applicant should possess the necessary drive and managerial ability to motivate staff towards delivering a comprehensive and coordinated approach to addressing physical planning and construction issues. The vision of the applicant for the post should be enclosed in the application.
12. Principal Engineer (Civil) – CONTIST 12 (N974,305.00-N1,375,535.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a first degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with at least 10 years relevant post-qualification experience on the job, preferably with at least 4 years practical experience in a University or comparable tertiary institution.
(ii) Applicants must be computer literate and must demonstrate proficiency in the deployment of Information Technology to provide solutions to practical field problems. Applicants must also be well versed in the Procurement Act 2007, Tenders Procedures and University Contract Management.
(iii) Such applicants should have completed the National Service year or have evidence of exemption.
(iv) In addition, the candidates must be corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and must be duly registered by the Council for Regulations of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) as Civil Engineers. The vision of the applicant for the post should be enclosed in the application.
13. Principal Engineer (Electrical) – CONTIST 12 (N974,305.00-N1,375,535.00)
(i) Candidates must possess a first degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with at least 10 years relevant post-qualification experience on the job, preferably with at least 4 years practical experience in a University or comparable tertiary institution.
(ii) Candidates must be computer literate and must demonstrate proficiency in the deployment of Information Technology to provide solutions to practical field problems. Applicants must also be well versed in the Procurement Act 2007, Tenders Procedures and University Contract Management.
(iii) Candidate must report to the Director of Works & Physical Planning be responsible for (among other assignments) the power supply unit in delivering a comprehensive and coordinated approach to addressing power supply issues. He/she will also oversee the development of a short term and long term power supply options as part of the University’s strategic plan and work with the University’s Partners to implement power based projects to world class standards.
(iv) Such applicants should have completed the National Service year or have evidence of exemption.
(v) In addition, the candidates must be corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and must be duly registered by the Council for Regulations of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) as Electrical Engineers. The vision of the applicant for the post should be enclosed in the application.
14. Principal Quantity Surveyor – CONTISS 12 (N1,075,353.00 – N1,508,373.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a first degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized University with at least 10 years relevant post qualification on the job, preferable tertiary institution.
(ii) Applicants must possess B.Sc./HND (Quantity Surveying); Registered with NIQS; Computer Literate with ability to prepare Tender documents using MS-Excel, MS-Projects and MS-Word; a Masters Degree in Project Management or Quantity Surveying will be an added advantage.
(iii) Applicants must have completed the NYSC programme or have evidence of exemption from the programme. Such candidate must be a goal getter, able to meet with target and have experience in project management and documentation.
(iv) Candidate must also be well versed in the Procurement Act 2007. Such must be corporate members of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and must be duly registered by the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) as Quantity Surveyors.
(v) The candidate vision for the post should be enclosed.
15. Principal Technical Officer II (Electrical) – CONTIST 9 (N777,984.00) – N1,131,610.00)
(i) Applicants must possess HND in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, with at least 5 years post-qualification relevant working experience, on the job, preferably with 3 years practical experience in any relevant power industry.
(ii) Applicants should have completed NYSC programme or have an evidence of exemption from the programme. Applicants must also be well versed in the Procurement Act 2007, Tenders Procedures and University Contract Management.
(iii) Applicants must be duly registered with appropriate body.
16. Principal Technical Officer II (Water & Sewage) – CONTISS 9 (N777,984.00 – N1,131,610.00)
(i) Applicants must possess first degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution. Applicants must have at least 8 years post-qualification relevant working experience, on the job, preferably in a University or other tertiary institutions. Possession of a relevant Masters degree will be an advantage.
(ii) Applicants should have completed NYSC year or have an evidence of exemption.
17. Principal Technical Officer I (Land Surveying) – CONTISS 11
(i) Applicants must possess Professional Diploma (PD) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Land Surveying or a first degree in Surveying and Geo-informatics from a recognized institution with at least 10 years post qualification experience on the job with knowledge of Geo-informatics preferably with 2 years practical experience in a University or similar institutions.
(ii) Applicants should have completed the NYSC programme or have an evidence of exemption from the programme. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered by the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON)
18. Senior Technical Officer (Mechanical) – CONTISS 8 (N671,747.00 – N998,031.00)
(iii) Applicants must possess HND in Mechanical Engineering or a first degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution, with at least 5 years post-qualification relevant working experience on the job, preferably in a University or similar institutions will be an advantage.

(ii) The applicant must also have experience in maintenance and servicing of Laboratory equipments/instruments (especially Geology/Geophysics equipments).

Applicants must have at least 3 years post-qualification relevant working experience in the maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment.

24. Bookshop Manager – CONTISS 14 (N1,820,908.00 – N2,381,772.00)
(i) Applicants must possess a minimum of first degree in Business Administration, Social Science or Librarianship from a recognized University, with at least 14 years relevant post-qualification management experience of which at least 10 years must be in relevant organizations, preferably in a Bookshop or Collection Development Division of a large library, or Marketing Department of a publishing company.
(ii) The ideal applicant would be an intelligent person who understands the book industry very well and who is competent in business matters. The right applicant should possess the necessary drive and managerial ability to motivate staff towards achieving the objectives for which the Bookshop was set-up. The vision of the applicant for the post should be enclosed in the application.
(iii) The Bookshop Manager would be responsible for all aspects of the business including, ordering, retail sales, library supply, finance, marketing, administration and all the support functions essential to maintain a business of the size of the University of Lagos Bookshop.
